Jete (rhymes with Pete) is Urban Fig’s founder by day; wife and mom by night. She’s a spontaneous, creative spirit – totally dedicated to her craft. By her own admission she kinda stumbled into wedding photography, and decided it’s pretty much the best career path ever. Since she doesn’t do anything halfway, her aim is to ensure your entire wedding photography experience is amazingly awesome from start to finish. But her work doesn’t end there. She sees the bigger picture. She wants to capture every image from your wedding – the sights, the sounds, the people – and hopefully make you cry. Even 10 years later. Because if, through her photographs, she made you cry, then she did a bang-up job for you. Win win.
Rhianna is our OG associate, joining the ranks in 2018. She is head of marketing at two local companies as her 9-5, so having a side hustle creative outlet is light relief for her. This girl is literally sunshine in human form. She is punctual, hard working, and has just the right amount of sass to fit right in on the team. Plus she’s a major dog lover (so bring allllll your furry friends), a foodie, and drinks iced coffee like it’s her day job. Though not on her resume, her boutonniere pinning skills are second to none (an incredibly valuable skill set to have accessible on your wedding day)! She’s also the best hype girl, and given the chance, will be rocking your reception dance floor!
Catrina joined the Urban Fig team in 2019 and has been an amazing extension of who we are and what we offer! In addition to running her own photography business, she loves weddings and sees taking photos as the perfect way to celebrate with the happy couples she meets.! She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have the most amazing twin boys. She’s super passionate about spending time in our beautiful province. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, and campfires under the stars. Photography has given her the opportunity to meet and capture so many beautiful souls and she cherishes the relationships formed with every session!
